I like Pretty Things...

Well, I can't help it! All of last year during my first year of photoimaging we were shown lots of different people's images, showing different facets of life, the good, the bad and of course the ugly and disturbing. I thought that in order to be an "outstanding" photographer you had to shoot and enjoy the more thought provoking images that aren't necessarily nice to look at. But like I said, I like pretty.

I decided at the beginning of the year not to deny it any more. And I told one of my teacher's in the first week that I like Pretty, and she basically said: "Go shoot it!"

The challenge now is to bring justice to "pretty things" to make them as pretty on camera as they are in real life and I enjoy this challenge. I don't know if I'll always feel this way (about liking pretty)! But I guess this desire to shoot pretty things is a good start in defining me towards the photographer that I want to be.

What a ramble, just so I can show you my pretty cupcakes I shot a little while ago... hmmm actually around Mother's Day because they are Mother's day cupcakes made by Gloria Jeans.
